Dṛṣṭi – focused gaze

The primary dṛṣṭi-s are:

sama = neutral gaze (look straight ahead without blinking)
ūrdhva = upwards;
pārśva = sidewards;
adho = downwards;
nābicakre = to the navel;

bhrūmadhye = between the eyebrows;
bhūcari: 4 fingers away from the tip of the nose;
nimīlita: towards the heart;
śāmbhavī = with eyes closed between the eyebrows
nāsāgre = to the tip of the nose;

hastāgre = gen. to the hand
agrapāṇi = to the right hand
itarapāṇi: at the left hand
aṅgulyagra or jyeṣṭha : at the tip of the finger / at the middle finger;
añguṣṭhamadhye = between the thumbs;

pādañguṣṭhamadhye: between the big toes
padāyogragre = to the foot / big toe
